Bay to Breakers 2012

May 18-20

Ball Buster Trail

This will be a long, hard trail (~12 miles).  Because of the length, it will start earlier and at a different location than the rest of B2B Saturday's trails.  But for all it will lack in brevity, it will more than compensate with views to, uh, die for.  Bring your good camera.  Also, crampons and ice axe are not required, but recommended.

Trail will start from the Colma BART station at 12 noon on Saturday, May 19

There are trains arriving from SF at 11:53am and 12:13pm.  Use the BART website to figure out how to be on one of these trains:  http://www.bart.gov/  This costs $3.25 from Embarcadero, Montgomery, Powell, and Civic Center;  more or less from elsewhere.

The Bag Wagon will depart after the 12:33pm train arrives.  Don't be late, or you'll be r*nnig with all your shit!

There will be beer-checks, as well as a snack check, and there are potties and drinking fountains en route.  The end of the Ballbuster trail will coincide with the Regular Saturday trails, where there will be an abundance of kegs for your rehydrational pleasure.

Trail maps will be available (starting at just $20!), and a highly-qualified (some would say over-qualified) sweeper will assist the back of the pack with some timely short- or long-cuts, and probably save a few lives.  As always, it's a good idea to have some cash on hand.  Just in case, ya know?
